So we pretty much have our practice every Friday night, and it still surprises me how much we get accomplished in each session. "Waiting" is pretty much done and done. "No Complications" and the-other-song-whose-codename-I'm-not-allowed-to-say-or-Collins-will-never-forgive-me are still both very fluid and change with each time we run through them, but they're solidifying nicely - I even catch myself whistling them once in a while.
We've started to work on a few covers, but we're going to keep those to a minimum (despite the fact that the list of covers we'd like to perform keeps growing!). Elden has an entire catalog of tunes he's written over the past few years that we're starting to go through and decide which of them would work out best for the band since we're not neccessarily a metal band (despite the fact that each song we play keeps getting harder and faster).
It's my hopes that in the next couple weeks we'll be able to get a recording rig for the drums and upload a few clean copies of the songs we're working on. We've got a few mixdowns made already that Elden has thrown together, but it's not the same as the live song, of course.
